Fire, CCTV and intruder planned as one coordinated commercial project

The systems remain separate in scope, but the on-site delivery, cable routes, access and handover can be organised through one coordinated project plan.

Site requirement

One project team does not mean one blurred system scope

Fire, CCTV and intruder systems answer different requirements. NOX coordinates surveys, access, installation sequencing and customer communication while keeping fire design, commissioning, security operation and future service records clear.

The property, fire information, security risks, existing systems, operations and programme are reviewed together.

02

Separate system designs

Fire, CCTV, intruder and emergency-lighting scopes are specified clearly, with shared enabling work identified.

03

Coordinated installation

Access, cabling, commissioning and handover are sequenced to reduce conflict and unnecessary disruption.

04

Ongoing support plan

Fire servicing, emergency lighting, alarm monitoring and CCTV maintenance are offered as clear recurring services after handover.

What the design needs to solve

System decisions linked to the operational requirement

01

Clear accountability

The customer has one local project contact while each system retains the correct technical and documentary scope.

02

Shared enabling work

Cable routes, access equipment, working-at-height activity and other enabling work can be coordinated so the project runs more smoothly.

03

Efficient site access

Surveys, access equipment, cable routes and operational constraints can be coordinated across the project.

04

Consistent handover

Users receive a consistent overview of controls, records, apps, contacts and future service dates.

05

Future servicing

Fire servicing, emergency-lighting testing, alarm monitoring and CCTV maintenance can be arranged as clear follow-on services.

06

Recurring support

Installation can lead into fire servicing, emergency-lighting testing, alarm monitoring and CCTV maintenance without hiding the separate costs.

The Tan Station in Brimington during a NOX Fire and Security installation
Commercial Fire & Security · Brimington, Chesterfield

Black CCTV and fire first-fix at The Tan Station

The Tan Station was being created as a modern customer-facing premises with a strong black interior and exterior finish. Leaving fire and security planning until the end would have risked exposed routes, awkward device positions and equipment that looked disconnected from the completed fit-out. NOX became involved during the project, completed the fire-alarm first fix and installed black internal and external CCTV in positions selected around the layout, finishes and intended use of each area.

Industrial Fire and Intruder Installation for a Derbyshire Warehouse

The Telesis Hitachi premises required modern fire protection and intruder security that could be installed around an operational industrial environment. The two systems needed to be coordinated as one project without confusing their separate life-safety and security functions. NOX installed the Ajax EN54 Fire Hub, manual call points and warning devices alongside the commercial intruder equipment, then tested normal operation, manual activation, alarm indication and evacuation functions before completing the handover with the responsible users.

Banana Industries premises with the NOX van and installed external security equipment
Commercial Fire & Security · Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Commercial Fire and Intruder Installation for Banana Industries

Banana Industries had inherited older intruder controls that no longer provided the clear, modern user experience required by the business. The premises also had separate fire-protection needs, so the project had to be coordinated without treating the fire and intruder systems as one combined function. NOX assessed the existing arrangement, replaced the ageing alarm controls with Ajax equipment, introduced new detection and opening protection, installed the external NOX siren and completed a clear handover and future-support route for the Sheffield team.

★★★★★
We recently had NOX install cameras, smoke screens, and alarms at our office and the whole experience has been spot on from start to finish. From the very first phone call with Isaac, everything felt straightforward and reassuring. He took the time to explain our options, answered all our questions, and helped design a system that made sense for our building and our budget. No pushy sales tactics at all, which was refreshing. The installation was smooth, the team were professional, and even after everything was fitted, Isaac has been on hand to help with any follow-up questions. A really great service and a company I'd happily recommend.

Common questions

Answers before a commercial survey

Does integrated mean the fire alarm and intruder alarm become one system?

No. They remain separate systems with different functions and requirements. The project planning and customer support are coordinated.

Can NOX install fire, CCTV and intruder at the same premises?

Yes, for suitable projects. Each scope is surveyed, quoted, installed and handed over clearly.

Can existing systems be retained?

Potentially. Access, condition, compatibility, records and supportability determine what can be reused or taken over.

Can ongoing service visits be coordinated?

Yes, where practical, fire, emergency-lighting and security visits can be planned under clear individual or combined arrangements.

Is this suitable for a refurbishment?

Yes. Early coordination is particularly useful where cable routes, ceilings, access, builders and other trades are involved.
